This is the project that got me started drawing again after quite a few years. A friend had an idea for a project featuring service dogs, and had a book planned with several different dog "characters". I hadn't really drawn in years, but something prodded me to put myself forward to illustrate the project.

For several months we had a great time going back and forth, creating the characters and trying to get a look right. I found that it was my favorite part of creating new drawings - defining a character and grabbing the personality and the expression. My friend decided that my style(s) weren't quite what she was looking for, so we moved on, but I continued with drawing and illustrating, and am still having a ball!
